Outline
1. Setting project goals
The participants will select a project goals that contributes to the sustainability by reflecting hints of daily life, by creating a complete methodology for implementing the project. It must address an unsolved problem in its existing social systems.
2. Group work with a variety of members
Throughout the period of the program, the participants will work by small groups of approximately five people who have different fields of experience. Although the process of making the proposals will be supervised by supervisors, participants will be responsible for using their creativity and ideas.
3. Collaborative
Participants will attend the short intensive courses held three times per year, without resigning their current jobs, and will continue deeper discussions by using networking tools such as international video conferences and other communication modes.
4. Strengthening of communication skills
Through three intensive programs, opportunities will be offered to understand international issues and problems solving process. We will encourage and support participants in communicating directly with global leaders.
5. Work flow
The group will follow a spiral for creating proposals consisting of:
selecting a subject => searching for methodologies => investigation and analysis => preparing a project proposal => creating a plan of implementation => summing up the results of the execution.
Each proposal should include the evaluation of maximum social impact, so as to bring results to the society. The legal framework and deregulations will be also examined. All the process is preferable to be described as a business model.
6. Audit of the project proposals
At the final meeting, each group will make presentation. The Audit Board will issue a certificate of completion to the members once proposals are qualified. In addition, the Nissan Sustainability Award will be given to the project for the implementation stages.
7. Period
9 months including 3 times of intensive programs and audit meeting.
